In 1945 Tomiko Konishi survived the atomic bombing of Hiroshima thanks to air raid training and the good fortune of being partially protected from the worst of the flash. In 2008 she made this illustrated account (translation at the link). You can find other artwork on this Hiroshima city webpage.
So far, the world seems to think twice was enough. Maybe this artwork can serve as a reminder why we need to keep it this way.
